Dr. Jonah Schrag, a licensed clinical psychologist, received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1984 from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Schrag specializes in working with children, families and couples. He has lectured widely on topics related to child development, behavioral problems with children, marriage and divorce. He has an advanced training degree from the Pairs Foundation and has co-taught a 100-hour course to couples designed to improve relationships by teaching concrete skills in communication, negotiation and intimacy.  Dr. Schrag served on the faculties of Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services and Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was Co-director of Clinical Services for Behavioral Healthcare Alliance. Currently he has a private practice in Katonah, N.Y.  

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Schrag is also a Divorce Mediator, Collaborative Coach, Parenting Coordinator and specializes in marital therapy in Westchester and throughout New York. In 1995, Dr. Schrag completed his training in divorce mediation at the Institute for Dispute Resolution and is an Advanced Practitioner of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Dr. Schrag trained at The Center for Mediation in Law, and in 2005, trained with Collaborative Divorce Team Trainings. He educates professional and lay audiences on the effects of divorce on children and teaches parents research based methods to protect children against the negative effects of divorce.


Dr. Schrag has made television appearances on "The Growing Child" and was the featured Divorce Mediator on The CBS Morning News show series entitled “Smart Divorces”. He was also the founder and playwright for a community theater troupe called “The Dor Vador Players”.

Among his many organizational affiliations, he is a member of The American Psychological Association, The New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, The Association for Conflict Resolution and The International Association of Collaborative Professionals.
