Dr. Jonah Schrag, a licensed psychologist, received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Professional Psychology in 1984. During more than 25 years of clinical practice, he specialized in the treatment of marriage, children and divorce. Dr. Schrag served on the faculties of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services. In addition, he was Co-director of Clinical Services for Behavioral Healthcare Alliance and is the founder and playwright for a community theater troupe called “The Dor Vador Players”.
In addition to his ongoing practice in Child, Marital and Family Therapy, Dr. Schrag completed his training in divorce mediation in 1995 and is an Advanced Practitioner of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Dr. Schrag trained at The Center for Mediation in Law, The Institute for Dispute Resolution and Collaborative Divorce Team Trainings. He continues to train with the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. He has been a member of collaborative teams, and has functioned in roles as Child Specialist, Coach and Parenting Coordinator.
Dr. Schrag has an advanced training degree from the PAIRS Foundation and has authored articles on topics related to children, marriage, divorce and families. In addition, he has lectured widely on topics related to child development, intimacy, communication, divorce and conflict resolution in families. He made television appearances on "The Growing Child" and was the featured Divorce Mediator on The CBS Morning News series entitled Smart Divorces. Among his many organizational affiliations, he is a member of The American Psychological Association, The New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, The Association for Conflict Resolution, The International Association of Collaborative Professionals and The Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York.
